Prior to the Houston Dynamo taking the field for their 2016 season opener on Sunday, March 6, Houston’s hottest band, The Suffers, will hit the stage at the Bud Light Beer Garden. Festivities in the Bud Light Beer Garden begin at noon. The Suffers will take the stage at approximately 1 p.m., followed by the Dynamo kick-off in BBVA Compass Stadium at 2 p.m. The Bud Light Beer Garden is located on Rusk Avenue outside of BBVA Compass Stadium.

“We’re beyond excited to have The Suffers performing in the Bud Light Beer Garden prior to the Dynamo’s home opener,” stated Amber Cox, Houston Dynamo Chief Marketing Officer.  “Not only are they one of the most popular bands in Houston and natives of our city, but they are becoming massive stars nationwide as well. I can’t think of a better fit to launch our 2016 season.”

The Suffers were formed in 2011 and have been featured on numerous media outlets, including The Late Show and The Daily Show. The 10-person group, ranging from vocals to percussion to horns, brings a new fresh sound that the group has coined Gulf Coast Soul.

In addition to the band’s pregame performance, lead vocalist Kam Franklin will also sing the National Anthem prior to kick-off between the Dynamo and New England Revolution.

The Bud Light Beer Garden ticket package starts at $36 and includes entry to the Beer Garden, two pre-game drinks, a lower-level ticket to the game and access to the Budweiser Deck inside BBVA Compass Stadium. The Budweiser Deck features beer specials for fans 21 and older until the 75th minute of the match.
