Giles Barnes, Ricardo Clark and Rob Lovejoy each scored and the Houston Dynamo rolled to a 3-0 victory over the Montreal Impact on Saturday at BBVA Compass Stadium.

Barnes’ opening goal came from a free kick, as Brad Davis delivered a cross from the left sideline and Barnes beat his marker to flick a header from ten yards inside the far post for his second goal this season. It was Davis’ 113th career assist to pass Preki for fourth on the MLS all-time assist list.

Clark added to the lead in the 72th minute, driving into the area before deftly chipping his shot over Evan Bush for a 2-0 lead and his first goal of the year. Lovejoy assisted on the goal for his first professional assist.

Lovejoy, who entered the game as a substitute in the 64th minute, capped his big night with a sensational goal in the 80th minute. The rookie from North Carolina settled a goal kick at midfield and drove forward 30 yards before deftly curling a shot into the upper corner from 20 yards for his first professional goal.

Goalkeeper Tyler Deric made five saves to record his third shutout in six games this season
